A Sean Gold school author visit brings K-5 classrooms together to read, ask questions, and understand disability, accessibility, and inclusion in a way that actually sticks. What a School Author Visit Looks Like
From the first read-aloud to the last signed copy, here's what schools can expect when Sean visits. Every school author visit is built around the same two things: a good story, and a real conversation.
The Presentation
Sean reads The ABCs of Disabilities aloud, communicating through AAC, and opens the floor to student questions, everything from how he writes his books to what disability looks like day to day. Most school author visits run as a single classroom session, though Sean can also present to a full grade level or the whole school if your space allows for it.
Book Signing
Signed copies can be arranged as part of a visit. Reach out with your school's preferred format and Sean's team will work out the details with you, including preorder options for families who want a copy ahead of the school author visit itself.
Who It's For
Designed for K-5 audiences. Sean has visited K-2 classrooms specifically to introduce younger students to disability, accessibility, and inclusion through The ABCs of Disabilities.
